Probe Announces Return to In-Person Fairs

The Fall 2021 Tour kicks off on September 13

May 20, 2021 Young Harris, Ga

The Georgia Education Articulation Committee announced today that the Probe tour will return to in-person fairs this fall. The Tour kicks off Monday, September 13, 2021, and will continue until November 19, 2021, and consists of over 65 fairs and three high school guidance counselor workshops.

“We are pleased to return to in-person fairs this fall,” said Clint Hobbs, executive director. “We will be following all COVID-related guidance from the CDC, and our local hosts, as the country emerges from the pandemic,” Hobbs continued.

The annual fall tour covers the Greater Metro Atlanta Area, North, Middle, and South Georgia regions with morning, afternoon, and evening fairs.

Georgia high school students and their families can connect directly with college representatives, ask questions, and get added to college recruitment lists.

Colleges will be using a touchless process by requiring students to pre-register to obtain a barcode for scanning. Using mobile devices, college representatives can scan either a digital or printed barcode to add students to their recruitment list.

High school guidance counselors are invited to attend one of three workshops to get the latest information on college admissions and financial aid. Counselor workshops will be held at the Infinite Energy Center in Duluth, GA, Middle Georgia State University in Macon, and Savannah State University in Savannah.

Registration for colleges to attend this fall’s Tour will begin in mid-July. Student registration will launch in mid-August.

Probe will not be offering a virtual fair option; however, the board is considering virtual presentations on relevant topics. “We are considering online presentations on general college admission and financial aid topics to extend our reach to Georgia families,” said Hobbs.
